Most baby equipment is built for a room: a crib, a high chair, a play mat on a quiet rug. JJ Cole makes the gear for the twenty minutes on either side of that room. It is the gear for moving a sleeping infant from a warm car into a freezing wind, changing a wet diaper on a restaurant floor, or carrying a three-year-old who has suddenly decided the walk is over.
The whole line started with the BundleMe car seat cover. Padded coats compress under car seat straps during a crash, which leaves the harness dangerously loose. Our cover fits over the buckled harness instead, keeping the baby warm without getting between the straps and the child. Every carrier, bag, and blanket we make has to pass that same test: it must fix a real problem without creating a new one.
Thick coats do not belong under a car seat harness. Car seat makers warn against heavy padding beneath the straps because the bulk compresses instantly under impact. A harness that feels tight over a puffy winter jacket is actually loose against the child. Our covers fit over the outside of the seat after you have already buckled and tightened the harness against the chest. The child stays warm without compromising strap fit.
